I recently did a blog about dating websites, and I’ve also been helping with a little review site about dating. One of the sites I helped to review was Parship.co.uk. When you register with this site it leads you through a series of questions about all sorts of things – it even show a series of images and ask you to indicate your preferences.
Were we really suited?
What got my attention were questions like:
- Do you arrange evenings out and holidays well in advance or sort it out at a last minute?
- Do you sleep with the windows open or closed?
- Do you feel you HAVE to win an argument?
If you turn this on it’s head the implication is that these issues are important. Looking back at my last couple relationships, both of which I would have continued if we had been more compatible, it’s simple little things like the questions above which can make a relationship heaven or unbearable. If you’re in a relationship where you both have to win an argument, or one wants the windows open and the other wants them closed, you’re always going to have a strained relationship.
If you’re an easy going individual and like to let things happen it can be a source of constant stress to be with someone who has to organise everything months in advance.
So, the people who wrote the questionaire on Parship.co.uk already know what makes a good relationship , I just wish they’d told me years ago!
P.S. it’s free to take the questionaire – why not have look if you’ve got 10 mins to spare?
